This work is part of my Resin and Steel series which explores single separated human emotions through the visual contrast of smooth, clean, and translucent embedded with hard, rough, and polished.  As the light of the day changes, and viewing from different angles, the sculpture takes on new dimensions and evokes varied feelings.  This work is representing the separated single emotion of being astonished.  When interacting with this work it may bring up emotions related to, or completely separate from, the depicted core emotion which can give the viewer a greater understanding of their reaction to their personal experiences.
